FLUENCES
ARTISTIC CAREER AND APPROACH
It was in his father's workshop that Jonathan discovered glass and acquired a particular know-how in enamelling and firing this magical material.
He was named best apprentice in France in 2013, winner of the Entrepreneurs competition of the National Institute of Artistic Crafts of France, then winner of the national competition of art workshops of France in 2021.
The Artist, combining technical mastery and creativity, plays with the fused volume of the material, seeks balance between thicknesses, plays with colors, light atmospheres and variations in transparency.
Today his unique creations are sold all over the world.
THE FLUENCE COLLECTION
The Fluence collection is the result of family know-how in dusting enameling combined with research into deep, colored glass.
The particularity of this collection of pieces in acidulous colors, of delicate transparency, lies in a desire to let the glass express itself by freeing it from the mold, usually required by this technique.
THE TIME OF GLASS
" With the Fluence collection, I am interested in the movements of molten glass. The glass retains the imprint and trajectory of its transformation at high temperature. The glass freezes, capturing for eternity a slow movement, a wave, a flow."
"A plastic clash between the chaotic harshness of the base and the taut oval of the sumptuously transparent glass. An intimate mind oxygenated from within, and totally projected into a prodigiously dense work, as if cut with a scalpel. A magnetic, dynamic and magical stripping away in a temporality closed at the heart of the glass. A sensualized fusion with all the outsides of the world, in the transparent thickness of an ever-metamorphic glass."
