AMAURY SONET
ARTISTIC CAREER AND APPROACH
Amaury has always held paintbrushes.
Since his early childhood, he has taken art classes. As a teenager, he will attend the Beaux Arts of Versailles assiduously and for a long time. Also carried by the welcome academicism of his first art teacher, marine painter, Hervé de Sainte-Foy and then by the healthy madness of his second to whom he owes so much, Bernard Pelloux, 1st second prize of Rome.
In Amaury's works, everything is abstraction and matter.
Whether they are a seasonal passage, like opening THE DOORS OF AUTUMN, an island landscape of SAINT FLORENT, IBIZA, or ILE ROUSSE, the Artist's paintings invite us on a journey.
Amaury transposes landscapes into shapes and patchworks of colors.
It's about seeing beyond, letting yourself be carried away by the emotion of these paintings on burlap.
